Walk with me through Swakopmund and learn about the controversial history of the beautiful coastal town. On the tour I will share objective, historical facts about the colonial occupation by the Germans and give insightful and interesting information about Namibia today while putting everything into context of the time before and after German rule in Namibia. This tour is a safe space to discuss difficult topics and deal with the atrocities of the past while still enjoying the scenery and vibe of the town. Let’s become mindful travelers!

- Culture: Explore the Swakopmund Museum and/or the Woermann Tower (extended tour of approx. 2.5 hours for both stops, incl. entrance fee: Tower 400 NAD p.p., Museum 500 NAD p.p., both attractions for 600 NAD p.p.)
- Family Tour: A tour for all age groups with an exciting museum visit at the end, plus a small souvenir & juice for the children (500 NAD p.p.)

- Activist: After the 90-minute city tour, meet Herero activist and founder of the Genocide Museum, Laidlaw Peringanda, for a visit to the Herero Memorial Stone at the mass graves and/or visit the Genocide Museum in Matutura/Mondesa with him. We are happy to handle the booking, including a short break with a snack & drink before continuing. Price and logistics are arranged individually depending on the individual transport situation — please enquire.
